Default Ezgo carb spewing gas

There is a loose hose next to the fuel intake hose that I cannot seem to figure out where it goes. It spits out gas when running. I have attached a pic. I have no idea the year or model as the serial number info has been removed.

That is the carb bowl overflow. If it is spewing gas, it is telling you your float valve is not closing. Either the valve is worn, dirty or your float has cracked or got a hole in it. That hose does not connect to anything else, just diverts the gas down away from the engine.

Thanks for the info. We had cleaned the carb and it was a concern. I didn’t realize it could cause gas to spit out like that. I’ll replace the carb next year as we are closing up our camper today. Thanks again.

Unless you are going to replace it with an OEM carburetor, save your money on the cheap $25 carbs on line.
9 times out of 10, If you remove your carb and clean/blow it out completely it will be fine.
I always mention to check trash in fuel filters and look in your gas tank for trash as well.
So many times I see dirty tanks just dirty up a carb again.
And check your yard cans too....

I second all of this.

I once had some crud make its way into the carb bowl
I had sprayed the carb body out and reinstalled, problem still there
Took it off again and opened the bowl and cleaned it out, problem was still there
Finally I opened it all up again and "accidentally" took the float and needle all out. Sprayed the needle hole out and with the help of this site got the needle, float and all back together correctly and the problems went away
