??? about rods
I know that the rods are Aluminum but are they cast or billet? I'm bettin cast.
1 other thing. Does anyone know the dimensions of the rods in a 350? crank journal diameter, pin diameter and rod length as well as the witdh of the rod at the big end would be helpful. Thanks. I got some nasty ideas in my heads but I need these #'s to know if it's possible. |

Didn't see it in there but I'll look again. I was glancing kinda quick as I was short on time but I got time now.
I'm not equiped to make something like a rod with all the different after market rods that are out there there might be something. |

Hey Wild-Bill, don't keep us in suspense......... just come on out and say what you're thinkin! Somebody here has probably done or thought of that before, will give you some information, and then you can chose to use it or lose it!!! Longer rod, shave the piston?

Re: ??? about rods
Lookin to see if another application like a Jr dragster motor's rod or lawn mower racing would fit in these blocks.
At least then we could use a stronger billet rod. |

If you find anything like that, let us know. A lot of people are interested in 350 mods.

Re: ??? about rods
another thing that racers use is super cooling the cast rod , cryogenetics , cool it down to -130/175 for 48 hours this does somthing to toughen it up a lot . I had one once that had been done that way and it was tough .
