My 89 did that once and I checked the wiring going to the voltage regulator and ignitor and found that a wire was broken. It was as if I had turned off the key,......I repaired the wire and instantly it took care of it. I would recommend thoroughly checking all wiring in the ignition circuit. I have a wiring diagram if you need it. It used to be posted in the tech thread at the top of the ezgas forum. give me a pm if you cant find it.

It most likely is the same one, I posted it a long time ago and I think Ruredy put it in the tech section.

this thing has to be the silanode, i checked all wires and they all looked good .when i unhooked the silanode and touched the two main wires it would turn over,it wont start that way cause i didnt have all the other wires hooked up.i think the silanode that is on it is the wrong one.its brand new looking but it looks nothing like the diagrames
