dead 89
i just got an 89 (body anyway)not sure about the engine but it ran fine.then it just died ,it wont do anything.the reverse buzzer works but when u turn on the key and push the gas nothing.the battery is good ,its like it has a safty switch or something has went bad does anybody know

sorry i thought i was replying to u and posted a dang new one,anyways its not the plug wire but it might be the mico switch/it wont do anything ,my son was riding it and it just stoped dead and now it is like the on/off switch is messed up but i checked it.were is the micro switch do u know

thanks i was hoping i wouldnt have to pick yalls brains but i think i bought the colf cart george jones built one piece at a time after the lincoln,i know nothing about it,but the body is an 89 and that its a 2stroke

My 89 did that once and I checked the wiring going to the voltage regulator and ignitor and found that a wire was broken. It was as if I had turned off the key,......I repaired the wire and instantly it took care of it. I would recommend thoroughly checking all wiring in the ignition circuit. I have a wiring diagram if you need it. It used to be posted in the tech thread at the top of the ezgas forum. give me a pm if you cant find it.

this thing has to be the silanode, i checked all wires and they all looked good .when i unhooked the silanode and touched the two main wires it would turn over,it wont start that way cause i didnt have all the other wires hooked up.i think the silanode that is on it is the wrong one.its brand new looking but it looks nothing like the diagrames
