1981 EZGO Marathon Rear Differential Question
I was trying to figure out how to drain the differential fluid today and could not find anything that resembles a drain plug. There was a plug on top of the case and a rubber plug in the center of the diff cover. There was also this plastic cap on the top that is moveable and seems to have a spring inside of it because when you push it down it "springs" back up.
In the last pic what is that black stuff where the motor attaches to the differential? Is the seal between the motor and diff bad and it's leaking fluid? Any help would be appreciated! Last edited by j_man_21050; 06-06-2021 at 09:07 PM.. Reason: forgot to upload pictures |

Re: 1981 EZGO Marathon Rear Differential Question
You will have to remove the rear diff cover to drain the oil.
