Default Scotty's Solid State Conversion Help

Hello all! I am finally getting around to installing my kit. I can not figure out how this template for the new pedal is to line up with the old opening. It says to fold along dotted line and line up L with back left corner. I don't see an L when I fold the paper over on the dotted red line. Can you look at these 2 pics and tell me how I should do it? Or a pic of how the template should line up would be an even larger help.

Secondly, The bolt for my old go pedal snapped off inside the the rod. Any ideas what to do there?

I also emailed Scotty, but figured I would ask here too just in case anyone sees this that has done the install.

Thanks everyone!

Can't say for sure since I haven't done one of those, but it looks like maybe the rectangle in the center of the paper should line up over the hole where the pedal went through the floor. So your two 3/8" holes will be to the immediate right of the pedal hole.

Is there something on the back of the paper?

That is an old set of instruction. You can contact my email for a more recent version.
We have discontinued using the template as the metal one was expensive to produce and the paper one had scale problems with relation to the bolt hole spacing. Simply place the pedal assembly on the floor with the left side aligned with the hole and mark and drill the big hole for the wire harness.
Put the wires through the hole and position the pedal where it is cover 98-100% of the old hole and while holding the base down pull the pedal up to open the pedal assembly like a clam shell. Mark and drill the 2 bolt holes.
