I made a floor mounted shifter for my Geep1. I will have to post some pics of it.

Very cool. Love how you've thought it all out too.

So who's going to be the first to add a reverse lockout?
Or do a short throw shifter?
Better yet, if we had gears, a ratchet shifter would be sweet!

Be sure to post up some pics. It would have been nice to see others ideas prior, to take a little guess work out of it.

LOL... I actually contemplated putting a reverse/forward lockout on it as well. Thought it would be a good safety feature with the kids jumping around on it. Wanted to keep it simple though. I'd be interested to see others do it though!

P.S.> Guess I should have proof read my thread before posting. Got in a hurry typing, and lots of typo's,lol..... Whoops...Sorry!

Cheesy....Great project!!! Wish you had posted it earlier... Bought a "Slick Shifter" this past weekend. They were built near Myrtle Beach,SC by Tim's Customs.

Hey Ron.... Just checked out your shifter....Looks good! I like the shifter gate idea, as neutral can be a bit tricky if your not use to it. I've got an idea in my head, and will take a closer look tomorrow, as to how/if it will work for my application.
