Seat Back Brackets and Questions
Well I just recently purchased a 2002 Ezgo PDS cart. I am going to be doing a frame up restoration on it. During the tear down process I noticed that my seat back frame/support/bracket had a broken weld. Now looking around on here I believe that the bracket that is on there is not the factory bracket seeing that I have a manual dump bed on my cart. Well I want to do away with the dump bed and add a flip flop rear seat, but not sure that my current brackets will work. I have rewelded them, only to find out I have the wrong equipment. So where I stand is what brackets will I need to retrieve in order for me to put a flip flop rear seat on the back of my cart. I am going to post a picture of the brackets I currently have below. Also, if I do need new parts where can I get them from? I am also up for doing a custom seat back that has side bolsters. I bought my girl friend this golf cart and am going to paint it to match her SRT-8 Dodge Charger, so seats with bolsters that would match the seats of the car would be cool too.
And also I may have not done enough searching around but, is there a how to anywhere on this forum on how to completely tear down my cart to the frame? And also I know it has been discussed a hand full of times but, where can I by a kit of all the rivets I will need for my cart? And what would you say the condition of my battery cables are and should I look at upgrading to the Carts Unlimited set? |

Re: Seat Back Brackets and Questions
welcome to BGW! most flip flop rear seats come with their own seat back supports, so i don't think will anything extra. you can order the seats in a limlted number of colors, or if you want match the car, look at innovations, one of the sponsors. the rivets come in in a complete kit, about $14 from most sponsors or mikes motor toys which an ez-go dealer. and sponsor. sort of see a trend here? check them all out at the top of the forum. for body removal, go to the ez-go gas forum and at the top find the "gas tech" section. good instructions in there.

Cool man. I'll look at the sponsors. I looked at innovations they have quality stuff. So for the most part you answered all my questions.
