Hit a bump
Was moving my 99 workhorse a bit too fast
Hit a bump too hard and broke the bracket that holds the spring to the rear axle, on the right hand side. Found a tree branch and was able to stick it under the bed and hold the cart up. At this point I was within 1/2 inch of normal. Found some barbwire on a fence that wasn't needed, and wrapped the springs to the axle with the help of my vice grips. Was able to drive home, though I went a lot slower and tried missing all the bumps. Got the top part of the bracket off, but I'll probably have to cut the U bolts to get everything off. I have a 78 EZGO electric in the barn. Will the rear spring bracket from that cart fit the workhorse, or will I need to buy a new one? Thanks for any help. |
