Default why more people use 4 12v. =48v

Is it possible to run 4 12v batts and will be the same as 6 8v??
Got the itch to go 48v and this maybe a option.
I someone had 6 12v. Maybe sportcoupe?

Yes for the first question, No for the second.

Four 12V deep-cycle batteries connected in series will give you 48V, but you won't have the Run-Time or battery life expectancy as 6 X 8V or 8 X 6V.

Attached is a list of 48V battery packs made from various Trojan batteries, showing their relative Run-Time (kWh = Kilo-Watt Hours).

--------
Sportcoupe does have a cart with 6 X 12V, but it is a 72V system.

42v? Someone needs more coffee this morning.

72v is more like it. Actually 78v fully charged.

I fit 6 x 12v under the seat and between the frame but it took some work. For 72v it was worth it! Now I'm bored again and will sell it to fund my lithium battery golf cart.

If you don't need range for your daily intended use then 4 x 12v will work but you will have to have a custom battery tray as the 12v are much longer then 6v or 8v. They are a bit taller too.

So SC when is the Bad A__ 72V cart you just finished going on CL? 95% of your buyers prob ain't got a clue about that cart, they just want a cool looking cart.

Bored again, Ha I understand!
Financethis, 4 12V isn't good IMO unless your keeping trips short under 5 miles. There are some guys who are ok with the 4 12v set up. 6 8V will fit in your batt rack.
