electric start problems
ok im finally switching from a pull start on my v twin brigs to an electric starter i got the starter installed on the motor ran an 8g stranded cable to the starte solenoid then a 8g wire to the battery and there is a remotewire i ran to the ignition switch i have a g1 cart so the ignition switch has a bunch of leads heres the problem were to hook it up if anyone has any help that would be great the only other problem i have is if i touch the remote wire from the solenoid to the batt shouldnt it click or atleast turn over or am i missing somthing?

You also ran an heavy gauge wire fron engine case to ground/negative on battery also? You can check function of starter by removing starter and grounding it then run a wire straight to the Lug on the starter solenoid and then one to the trigger wire for solenoid. If the Starter never spins then you can remove the solenoid from the starter and test just the starter motor. if that spins then you need a solenoid, if it still doesn't spin you need a Starter motor.
