97' Series DS no go

car will only slightly jerk forward and reverse and then nothing. If I jump the two big posts together on the solenoid then everything works fine. ??? Bad solenoid?

With key on and throttle pedal down, and F&R switch in either position does the solenoid click, if so it is bad internally and needs replacing. While replacing solenoid also replace resistor and diode to match comtroller and give it a fresh start. Looks like cart is lifted and this would be the time to put in HD solenoid.
