This one.....

I believe I have discovered something this morning.

-When I bypassed the reducer I had plugged in the accessories for 48v. This morning I tried just between two batteries for 16v.

-All the accessories but the lights worked and the golf cart turned on.

-When I removed the accessories connection, the golf cart would not start.

-Even though the golf cart is showing 50v and it is fully charged, the battery meter on the cart only has two bars.

-Perhaps I blew out the LED lights when I had the accessories plugged into the 48V?

Questions -

1. Why would the golf cart require the accessories to be plugged into move? Shouldn't the drive train be separate?

2. What type of damage may be caused by me using the full 48v for the accessories initially (the fuse did not blow)?

3. Any ideas on why the dash meter is showing so low but volts across series is fine?

Then we need to start at one area and work there. If the solenoid is not closing, we need to start testing.....

Fyi, mystery solved there was for sure an issue with the key switch.

It appeared to causing the short. I also replaced the reducer, in hindsight, not sure that was actually mattered.
