Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
Recently purchased a G29. Serial number indicates 2009 model and date of manufacture shows 2012. Can someone tell me why these may differ? Thanks for the help!

Re: Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
Someone changed the body.
It's an '09, and probably non- PTV |

Re: Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
By the serial number. Unless PTV can be added later on...Don't know about that.

Re: Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
PTV can be added later. Controller reprogramming with unique key will unlock 19mph speed (on electric models), and head/tail lights, mirror, and reflectors round out the package.

Re: Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
Thanks for the info guys! One more question for ya: Can a lug bolt be hammered into the hub on a 2009 Yamaha G29 cart? One of the hubs is missing a lub bolt. Wasnt sure if it could be hammered in or machine pressed. Thanks in advance.

Re: Yamaha Serial/Manufacture Date Question
I use an old lugnut, a bit of oil and an old wheel bearing from a 4wheeler but you can use a washer or two as well.
Pull the stud through the hub and put some oil on the threads. Put on a couple thick washers and put the lug nut on backwards (flat side against the washers). Then an impact gun will.press it in. If you dont have an impact gun, you can use a ratchet. And use a big pry bar between 2 of the other studs and rest against the ground to lock the hub in place |
