Default 2010 ClubCar Precendent Stops Unexpectedly

My 2010 ClubCar Precedent was running great but has developed an issue. I put it in reverse and begin to back out of my driveway and the alarm beeps and the cart brakes itself to a stop. I have to remove my foot from the gas and reapply the gas to move again. In forward it does the same thing. I get up to full speed, approach a corner and ease my foot off of full throttle, the alarm sounds and the cart brakes and brings me to a complete stop. Drives me nuts!!! I just tried it again this morning and now it wont go more than a super slow speed. All my batteries are good. Please help.

Sounds like either the speed sensor or the mcor.

Finally got my hands on a computer. It is giving me a fault code of "Main Dropout." What does this mean?

Could be the solenoid dropping out, but like the other guys said, sounds like a speed sensor. Do a speed sensor test (located above in the stickies).

It passed the speed sensor test. The alarm sounded and the brakes were applied automatically.....

Maybe someone else will know more about the code, but I take it to mean the solenoid is dropping out...

. . it means your main contactor is defective (open) . . .

Update. After receiving the "Main Dropout" code from the computer and listening to you guys I replaced my solenoid with a heavy duty 5722 48v rP, CC 0-Up E DS, Prec model. NO CHANGE. CART STILL WONT MOVE. I'm ready to throw it off a cliff. Why won't my cart work?? Please help.
