Just purchased - 16HP Briggs
Wow! I've been on the site for 2 days and I went out this evening and bought a V-Twin 16 HP Briggs.
My wife is gonna kick my Butt I'm guessing I need to call CPP on Monday??? Motor is elec start w/ a key but, what else am I gonna need? - Mounts ? - Any special wiring ? - Exhaust ? I got a kickin deal on the 16 HP.... my G2 needed a bunch of stuff anyway, including a clutch so, thought I would just go this route. Ideas please........ Kev |

Yup....that's the one. I paid 200.00 as well but, mine is a little bit more dirty ( not much ) and the paint is still all shiny!
So, these are good to go then? |

Re: Just purchased - 16HP Briggs
You guy's should be ashamed of yourselves......You didn't buy those engines.....You "STOLE" them. Good for you!!!!! I would also suggest Tom at CPP. It depends how much fabrication skills you have how many pieces you'll need to buy for the install. Motor mounting/clutch/belt/exhaust ect. You should be able the lenghten the stock wire harness to mount the key switch were you want it. Lets see some pictures of you build in progress. Later Dave

Re: Just purchased - 16HP Briggs
I agree, we both did "really well!"
Taking the cart apart is not as difficult as I thought, just lots of stuff that I am trying to keep track of, bolts, washers, etc, I would like to either get all new hardware or, have everything plated or powdercoated. Anyone on here have any experience with trying to polish the trim parts? I would like the shiny look but, sometimes it ends up being a p.i.t.a. trying to keep it all pretty. Powdercoating is good but, no shine. I'm going to try and take alot of pics as I go. Keep ya'll informed as I go........ Thanks to all who have PM'd and replied to my rants so far , Kev |
