1984 gas parcar wont fire up in reverse
hi all im new to post aswell as golf carting my cart was running fine until the starter generator went. i had it rebuilt and put back in. i cleaned up wiring cause it was like speghetty. sorry for spelling. now the cart will fire and run forward but when i want to go backwards it will not fire and it still has a spark while in reverse cant seem to figure out and cant seem to find wiring diagram to check if i screwed a wire up or not. any suggestions would be great thanks.:

Id be looking at the micro switchs on the forward/reverse lever.

Does it have solenoids for forward and reverse? If so, check the solenoids.

im sorry its a 94 par car but its been changed to points . ive messed around today with points everything working theres spark forward and reverse i switched the key mach. its fires up in forward but doesnt fire up in reverse motor turns there spark but no run cant understand

Your problem is that since it is a point system now, it has to be timed in forward and reverse. See the post on using a timing stop in the HD section!
