Default 1988 ez go marathon ? 2

anyone have and idear how to get the brake hub cap off seem like its been on there since 1988 lol

get the wheel and the hub nut off first. then make sure the brake shoes are adjusted in all the way. Next, start spraying it down with a penetrating oil. I like PB blaster or Deep creep. both work well. spray it down, let it sit say an hour or so then repeat a couple more times. and try to remove the drum if that doesnt work shoot it heavy again and let it sit over night. and try again, you may have to take a wire brush to the splined area and the lug studs to get any loose rust and debris off the hub before starting. Also tapping the snout on the drum may help loosen things up.

If you have an Air-Hammer,rattle the face of the hub,the vibration will help break the rust,and unseat the splines.Hope this helps.

He was asking about the "hub cap". I use a wide screw driver and work my way around, prying it a little at a time. Tap the screw driver with a mallet if needed.

Sorry,Never saw one with a hub-cap on the rear,I guess all the ones I've been around already lost them.
