Re: My lifted cart now fits in my camper!!!
Ping - true story, especially when the wife/kids use it to go the pool. My primary use will be sporting clays so I would (read should) remember.

Yeah, good ol Murphy, I backed my Edge up in the garage with the lift gate open...OOPS. Thank goodness for only a small ouch when it caught the garage door. Lucky.

if you can cut and lower without using the hinges you are better off then having them installed. they are great for what i need them for but would turn into a big pita if i had to do it every time i went in and out of the garage.

Re: My lifted cart now fits in my camper!!!
Thanks Swan. My max height to fit my garage is 82”. I really need 84-86 to get headroom. Just going to live with the lack of headroom for now.
Here is how I sit. I don’t think air pressure or ride height will give me meaningful room. The only other thought I have is to go with a shorter roof but I would like the extra shade and rain protection. Any other ideas? Last edited by Keperkey; 07-12-2019 at 06:41 PM.. Reason: Add pictures |

Re: My lifted cart now fits in my camper!!!
What if rather than making an adjustable hinge to lower the roof I make it adjustable to raise the roof when I will have taller folks in back? This way the normal height fits the garage so I lessen the change of hitting the roof then when I am using it for clays I can.
I am thinking about cutting a piece of 3/4 tubing that will fit inside the strut. I would then cut the candy canes. The plug piece would be anchored to the bottom strut while I use a removable bolt for the top. I would have at lease 2 holes in the plug for the height adjustment. |
