Eco battery 48v 105 AH upgrade - 2013 DS IQ
Hey guys-
So I have taken the plunge into lithium. Should have my Eco bundle here sometime next week (nice Valentine's Day present from my wife). I will be removing the OBC entirely since I will be having the charger on board and using their receptacle. I have an Alltrax 500 XCT installed, so am I able to change the programming in that instead of splicing the light blue and white wire together? I went through the OBC bypass thread and wanted to make sure I read that correctly. Thanks! |

The alltrax doesn’t work like the stock controller. I may be mistaken (I still have stock controller so I bypassed OBC) but I don’t think the alltrax cares if the OBC is bypassed or not.
When I put my allied batteries in, I removed the OBC completely and just hooked the white and blue wires together on the controller side of the connector. Only takes a few minutes. But as said, I still run a stock controller. |

I read in the OBC thread I could set the programming so the splice was not needed. But also, someone said it was needed? I will do it, just wana maKe sure! Alltrax is already installed, and old Lead batteries removed.

The Alltrax does support a charger interlock if you want to use it. I don't use it.
