Default Marathon speed controller upgrade ( Navitas 420A) HELP!

Hi all i'm new to the golf cart scene and just got a 91 marathon (at least i think) I have cleaned it up and installed new steering and suspension .

I decided to upgrade my controller to a navitas 420 so got this along with the marathon wiring harness, i tried to follow instructions as best i could but found my cart may have had a different controller added or the instructions were not for a marathon.

So i have a couple of issues with where wires go, B+ B- and Motor (M) i have hooked up but where do i hook up F1 and F2 from (not on old controller or not labeled)

Also on the vehicle harness it ask for me to hook up CN1 to "key" CN2 to "GRN usually white" CN3 to Throttle usually black"

When i removed my old controller i had a white and black black wire sleeve in grey coming from the throttle switch area ( no really sure exact location) and a blue wire coming of the micro switch above the throttle switch.

I tried hooking up in a few different ways but no movement.

So cutting it short I need help with:
- F1 and F2 on navitas controller (WHERE DO I CONNECT FROM??)
- what wires go the the harness that connects to the navitas? cn1, cn2 and cn2?

I appreciate any help, i tried to contact buggies unlimited regarding this issue as i bought the controller from them but i have not had a response, which is odd as they replied whilst i was enquiring about the controller before i got it!

Once BU gets your $, they totally forgot your name... The controller sounds like it could be a "Sepex" controller, not compatible with a marathon "series" motor. What model is controller?

Does sound like you got the wrong controller.
They don't even list the Marathon in the applications ?
Anyway as mentioned - it's for a more modern drive system and it's not gonna run your cart.
You need a series controller with 0-5k throttle. GL

While I am not familiar at all with the Marathon cart, I do recall a similar question we had in the Club Car section.

The Navitas controller can operate as either Series or Sepex. Their firmware can disable the use of the Field driver and just use the B+ and M- to run the Series Motor.

You will likely need to contact Navitas tech support to learn how to make sure the Controller is setup to the correct drive system.

I have emailed navitas for support, In the manual it does mention that a series model will not use the field wires, but vague.

I paid 500 dollars for this controller! i do hope it will work.

I will go with an Alltrax SR controller.
http://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-sr-series--.html

In that site there is a lot of good info on controllers and upgrades. He is also a site sponsor.
