Default 36v motor in a 48v club car question

so i just scored a 1993 club car 36v and looks to be a series motor and i have a 03 48v club car series . the question is can i put the 36v in my 48v and will i see a gain of any kind? i'm sure it wont be the best for the motor but the other cart is shot so ill ride it till it burns up and throw the old 48v motor back in.i've seen the other thread about doing this im just not sure if the applies to me. part two of the question is if part one is a go, the four wires on the 36v are not in the same place how do i know what wire to put where?

im saving up for a d&d set up (1400$) but i figured maybe this could do something for the meantime.

thanks for the help.

p.s they are both club car ds
