My cart has not been used for two years and the batteries are Dead how do I trick my Power Wise charger (36Volt) into starting to charge.

Welcome to the forum Edpatt..........................

Chances are........ your batteries are not any good after that long. However, I have seen some brought back to life. You can take a automobile charger and charge 2 of your batteries at a time. More than likely though, you may only save half, or less, of your batteries.

There is a way to jumper the relay on the chargers you mentioned, but I could not tell you without looking at it.

If one were to "trick" your charger into kicking on I bet it would be done by jumping the 2 wires that plug into the relay on the PC board inside the charger. (it won't shut off automatically anymore as long as those wires are jumped) If someone were to try this they would want to be careful because those wires carry 120 VAC. If someone were to try this they might want to jump the connection while the charger is unplugged from 120VAC....of coarse if someone were to try this they might wanna make sure all their battery cables are clean and tight and there is plenty of water in the batteries.....hypothetically speaking that is. LOL!

hypothetically speaking....I would use a 12v charger as described a dozen times on this board to bring the batts up to where the charger can read them. But - I'll bet dollars to donuts your batts are history.

It has been 6 mos since we last heard from ____ . Hypothetically speaking ...... I hope he has unplugged the charger by now? I seriously doubt batteries that were left dead in the cart for 2 years have come back to life
