Default '96 CC Speed Potentiometer Problem

Long story short, while on vacation recently the neighbors used our cart and it went submerged into the water up to just over the floor. Batteries, controller, OBC, etc. were not wet. It ran just fine before this incident.

Since then it runs only in one small spot as you depress the pedal. I believe the problem to be the potentiometer under the deck. I have removed it and tested it with a VOM and it has a very erratic readings, not smooth as I would anticipate.

My issue is where can I get the proper one the first time? Cart specs are as follows:

Cart S/N: A9611-491191 48 volt Power Drive

Controller is a Curtis PMC 1204-410, S/N: CC 80186, Voltage 36-48, Current 225.

The speed controller pot assembly has a 3 prong black plug (not gray) with
additional green and blue wires coming from the assembly.

From my reading last night on your great forum I believe it is a "Series" cart, not a regen. Also I have the lever F/R control, not the rocker switch.

Are there upgrades that should be done with this assembly? I have read about a MCOR but have still yet to exactly figure out if this applies to me.

I looked in the "stickies" for a wiring diagram but there is none that match my cart. I do believe the cart is completely factory, no modifications except for a 3" lift kit.

Any / All help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Yes... That looks right..

Do you know if the MCOR upgrade applies to me? From what I read it does but I don't want to order it if I'm not sure...

Thanks in Advance,

Dan
