Re: ezgo gas in air filter
Likely to be intake valves too tight, or possibly float valve sticking. A sticking float valve should drain out of one of those small tubes coming off the side of the carb so if not doing that then most likely intake valves.

Re: ezgo gas in air filter
I'm trying to figure this one out. Intake valves too tight? So does that mean the valves might not be opening long enough to take in all the fuel? Then is splashes up into the air filter?

Re: ezgo gas in air filter
How hard is it to adjust the intake valves?
I'm getting fuel in my airbox as well, when the cart acts up, so I am wondering if this is part of my problem Can intake valve adjustments cause backfiring? |

Re: ezgo gas in air filter
I’m gonna go with dirt in the float needle causing it to flood into the intake. Too much and it will spit it back out at the air filter.

Re: ezgo gas in air filter
Obstruction of the intake tubing is also possible. Make sure the opening into the air box is not blocked.
Also if the air filter has been soaked with fuel it could be damaged and needs to be replaced to get full proper air flow through the filter. A blocked filter can create vacuum in the filter box which will suck fuel out of the carb. |
