Just posting some info here to help any future visitors....
For my rig, 1978 E-Z-GO (GX-444), a 10mm x 1.5 x (doesn't need to be very long, maybe 1-2") INDEED replaces the "special puller" A-14709-G1 (14709G1) to get the flywheel off. Mine came off easily with an impact driver. I'm still working on the bolt size that works for removing the armature assembly - the "special puller" A-12579-G1 (12579G1) - it looks like a 2-piece job (the shaft part to get to the crank and the threaded bolt to push it off). Probably similar to what the clutch puller looks like. Will post that info here when I figure that out. Good times.... |
