Default Painting help needed!

Hello everyone!

I am about to start a fix up on my G-8 that has a G-16 body. I need to know what to tell my paint guy. What type of paint, primer and if any additives are needed? I just picked up a brand new G-16 body in white from my Yamaha cart dealer for this project and I really don't want to screw it up!!

Thanks for any advice guys!!

Not meaning to be a smart *ss, but if your paint guy doesn't know what to do with the body, then I'd be getting another paint guy! Tell him to paint it like he would a car. Prep / Primer, sealer / paint / clear.

I was just arming myself with a little knowledge, I was wondering if there was anything special about painting plastic. He is good, but I'm just trying to be careful.

Thanks!!

SOme people say you have to add all this extra stuff to make everythng stick. I never do and we do some expensive paint work. Just rough up your body (scotch brite pads and 400 grit wet paper), clean and start the job. I shoot mostly Matrix products and start with their primer sealer. It comes in 3 different colors, which is nice to have, depending on the basecoat color. Once prepped and primed, it is the same as pianting a car...
