Dual batteries
I plan on mounting a battery in the back of my club car ds as a back up. My future plans are to run a winch off of it and use it to play the radio when it not running. I will use 2 bosch relay's for this. The first relay will hook the original battery to the normally closed contact of the relay and the backup to the normally open contact. That way when I flip a switch it will feed the radio/amp through the back up. This way when I'm riding the radio/amp will pull off of the primary as its being charged. The relay is rated for 30 amps and I will be pulling less than that so it should handle it. I will have another relay that will have the primary battery hooked to the normally closed contact to accept the charge from the motor (670 Predator). I will hook the back up to the normally open contact so I can switch the charging to that battery while I ride if it needs some charge. Any thought on why this wound not work? The winch will come straight off the back up battery with a fuse and not go through the relay.
