Best off road electric cart to start with?
I have the option to buy 2013 Yamaha or Club Car. I plan to put a small lift.. larger tires and really would like to have a limited slip in the rear.
From my research it looks like the club car is next to impossible to get limited slip ? And the 13' Yamaha may not have a dana so not available as well ? Im pretty sure he has a few 2007 or newer EZGO's as well if those would be better.. |

Performance upgrades are readily available for the Club Car......and the aluminum frame is a plus.....but I’m a tad biased.

Re: Best off road electric cart to start with?
I had a gas CC with limited slip. It was fun but you had to try to get stuck to see it in use. And that's the point. Electric golf carts have so much weight at the rear wheels they have tons of traction & rarely get stuck.
I have a posi set up from Ezgo sitting on my bench waiting to be installed but to this point I have never had to have it. |

If you hunt...like I do....and live in hilly areas then you want a limited slip. If the cart is for cart paths and the like, limited slip would be a waste of $$$ (IMHO)
I really comes down to "what is your application?" |

I plan to go off-road. Where did you get the limited slip?
What years does it fit? |

Re: Best off road electric cart to start with?
I got my LTD slip from Plowman's. Some Yamaha (Don sells Yamaha's I think exclusively....unless they are taken on a trade) The Yam's and TXT both have Dana rear ends. I don't know the specifics of years.....but I believe if it has a Dana, his ltd slip will fit.
