Default 2001 e-z go txt pds 36 volts cart

Battery pack is fine. Changed out the speed sensor and still does the same thing.

It will take off fine, then after about 50 feet it slows down. In reverse it acts normal.

Lost, please help

Switch the F1 and F2 wires at the controller after switching the RUN/TOW switch to tow.
Test drive and see if the problem has switch direction.

It looks like the controller has failed. Replace it with Alltrax XCT400PDS

Put controller in diagnostic mode and listen for error code.

The text at the bottom of the attached label found on PDS controller cover tell you how to get into diagnostic mode.

I don't know how that could be. In the PDS the controller is basically 2 halves. One half operates for forward direction and the other half works reverse. So it has a problem in one direction and when you switch the motor direction (F1 and F2) the problem reverses direction. Maybe Johnnie B can shed some more light on this.

When F/R is in F, cart goes forward with F1 & F2 connected normally and when F1 & F2 are switched, the cart goes forward when the F/R is in R.

Does the problem happen only when cart is going forward no matter how the F1 and F2 cables are landed or whether F or R is selected on the F/R switch?

Or does the cart misbehave when F is selected on the F/R switch irregardless of the direction the cart travels?
