13 precedent stutter on accleration
So I just finished my 13 project club car. Most recent additions include a voltage reducer, batter gauge, and ultimate light kit. Cart has been running great for a month or so. I take it out today and upon moving forward the cart stuttters like power is being cut in pulses then picks up speed. Its causes the cart to buck and bounce before rolling. Any ideas?

If you are hearing no clicking from the solenoid dropping out, I would think MCOR or possible speed sensor related.

Any idea on how to diagnose the issue? Thanks again.

Re: 13 precedent stutter on accleration
If it is the MCOR at fault - you can perform a quick and usually effective test. With the key off, rapidly and repeatedly pump the accelerator pedal 30-40 times. Then key on and drive it. If the problem appears to have gone away, it is the MCOR. It won't stay "fixed" by doing this for very long however - maybe a few days or a couple weeks. But it will usually show if the MCOR is at fault.

Re: 13 precedent stutter on accleration
Check all of your battery cable connections. Make sure they are all clean and properly tightened. A loose cable can cause that sort of behavior.
A failing MCOR can cause stuttering. Try the test above ^. Worn out motor brushes or a poor wire connection at the motor can cause stuttering. |

Re: 13 precedent stutter on accleration
So my ezgo does same thing upon quick acceleration. Then it levels out fine. Not sure what MCOR is? Have you identified your issue yet?

Re: 13 precedent stutter on accleration
This issue actually went away for awhile and just happened again last night. I pumped the pedal and it did resolve. Guess I have to look into MCOR replacement?
