Good Afternoon,

I have a 2000 Club Car DS 48v stock motor, controller, F/R switch, and solenoid. I put a Jakes 8" lift on it and 22" tires on 8" rims and my batteries are 2 years old. Am I good to run all stock components on my cart or should I upgrade to account for the lift and tires? This is what my cart looks like currently with the lift and tires. Body is going to be red with black trim and the seats are going to also be red and black.

The taller tires will bump your speed a little, but that comes at a cost of a bit less torque as well.
I guess it really depends on what exactly you want out of the cart...
What will it be used for?
That should be your baseline for any mods that you may need.

Now WANT is a whole different animal...figure out what you "need', then you can start on what you WANT!!!

It depends on several things:
How you use the cart? Do you baby it or beat it?
The purpose of the cart? Cruising, pulling a trailer, off-roading?
With how many people?
What type of terrain? flat, hilly, mud?
And the biggest issue is how much do you want to spend?
The stock components will last a bit depending on all of the above, the tires are the biggest factor.

Kashmir beat me to it!

Just my .02 cents

What's the vehicle serial number? The cart in the picture isn't a 2000. It's a 96 or 97 and it appears to be the dreaded Regen 1 drive system.

I will be using it for cruising around the campground and may put a backseat on it. No using it for anything extreme. I was told its a 2000 cart but I will have to get the serial number.

It came with a series 48v motor (3.1 HP super duty), a stock series controller and solenoid.

I love the pile of bolts and nuts on a DS floorboard. Shows your commitment to visiting the hardware store many times to replace old rusted fasteners. Your frame looks is great condition and a great place to start. Good luck with your build.

The series components wont work unless you change the wire harness. I probably have a used series wire harness if you need one.

Home Depot and the local hardware store got used to having me come in and buy $2.00 to $4.00 worth of nuts and bolts every other day for most of December and January....
