Re: XCT controls for IQ
They did away with the adapters. There is control model now for each make cart. So Ezgo PDS plugs right in and CC plugs right in. I pulled the DCX400 and installed the XCT400 in the wife's Precedent after work. Test ride tomorrow.
I posted some package prices and additional information on the CU website here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html |

Now that along with the other improvements I think will bring this controller to the top, if you want flexibility, durability, ease of use, they must of been listening to the consumers.

Re: XCT controls for IQ
I agree. like it's brother the SPM this control is the latest generation of smart controls. That's right I said smart control. These controls learn and adjust to your throttle signal. They are super easy to interface with and the intuitive program has throttle, amperage, and voltage curves you can customize with a few clicks.
And if that's too much fun and you go too far...... one click will reset defaults and you can start over. That's cool |

Re: XCT controls for IQ
I was talking with an Alltrax call assist tech about the new controls and I asked so , what are you going to do with all your spare time now that you don't have to trouble shoot MCORs all day long anymore?, we were ROTFLMAO
The same control works for all precedent model drive systems right out of the box without a program change. |

Re: XCT controls for IQ
The install was not as easy as I would like to see it but it wasn't terribly difficult either. The Precedent's wire harness is tailored to the OEM unit and has a cluster of 3 wires in the controller B- lug connection. I chose to install with the B- terminal at the bottom. This required me to cut the OBC lead off at the 3 wire lug and add about 12" and a ring terminal to it to reach the new location. But it allow easy connection of the 10 wire plug. I also changed the wire connectors on the smaller F1 and F2 wires from spade to ring. However - a pair of ring to spade connectors would do the job without any modification of the F1 and F2 wires. see attached. We will supply these when they arrive.
For attachment bolt holes had to be drilled and 1/4 X 1.5 " bolts. I removed one 12v battery for access and drilling . |
