Default Stuck motor spline, what worked for me.

I have a 2004 precedent I recently converted to lithium ion. In my testing of the new system I got a high reading on the back motor bearing. So I decided to pull the motor and side and service them since I have only had the cart about a month and don't know the service history. Well to make a long shorter my motor was stuck to the spline which is not uncommon according to my local cart shop.i tried every trick I could find online and none of them worked. What I finally did was pull the motor case off leaving the rotor. I then drilled and tapped a hole in the end of the motor shaft. I turned the axle up on end on a concrete block with a safety rope (turned the brake drum around and bolted it back on) screwed a bolt in the hole and hooked a slide hammer to it. Third smack and it fell off into my lap.

Yea, tried that. Didn't work. The first thing I came across on the web.

Your the only one out of many that has done this that said it didn't work. I've done it around 40 times and it worked every time

Well that method cost me a new set of brushes, and the back bearing holder, the only thing holding the outside of the motor to the rotor was v shaped. One more drop and I would have had to find that part too. If it works for you fantastic. I prefer the slide hammer.
