Default Heavy duty rear springs Yamaha G22

Looking for options for rear springs for a Yammahama G22 electric with a cab on it.
It has a Jakes 3” lift already and a rear seat kit. Also has a custom made rear tow hitch.
Not familiar with what’s good quality for these carts. I see Jakes makes a set of springs with some kind of spacer, but they also make a full shock set with springs already installed. I also see a few cheaper brands but not sure of exact fitment with those as some of the listings are not very descriptive of what models those will fit.
Any opinions from the guys who have used any heavy duty springs on these? Which ones are worth the cost? Jakes or other brands?

Thanks!

Don’t know but will measure that in a bit and post it later this afternoon. Gotta finish up a small brake repair and then replace a wheel bearing in my car so will measure those somewhere in between.

So we’re going to try some Redhawk springs. They have what appears to be a progressive rate spring so should ride OK when it’s loaded normally and still be able to handle the extra weight when people are on the back. I’ll update with some details and a quick review when I get them installed.

Much more better!! Red Hawk heavy duty springs. Says they fit all kinds of yammys.
These things ride great (progressive rate springs) and make a hell of a difference in weight capacity. It used to drop almost 2” if I stood on the rear. Now it’s maybe 3/4” to 1”, but if I load another person on the drop is minimal after that.
Very slight lift over the stock springs (which were probably worn out anyway). It rides a little bit firmer now, but not harsh at all. Still enough squish that it leans a bit when you turn the wheel. Overall very much worth the $130.

You WILL need a spring compressor to install these. Whole job took me maybe 45 minutes, but I have shop tools. Plan on 2 hours or maybe more if you’re doing this in your home garage.

Yep, just changed out the springs. Shocks seem to still be in great shape. No leaks and they still rebound just fine when compressed by hand.

The Jakes shock set I was looking at before seemed to be out of stock everywhere.

I ordered these springs through one of the site sponsors: ECartParts.com
Discount code for a few $ off, and free shipping. They arrived next day. But they didn’t have far to travel from Martinsville, VA.
