Default 295 robin engine valves

I tore down my engine and found the valves in terrible condition . Sealing surface completely gone on one intake valve
. Main question should I just replace valves or should I go ahead and rebuild ?while I have it out . It was barely running and smoking . It had low compression 100psi on 1 and 40 on the other with the bad valve .

Definitely freshen it up since you already have it out and are doing valve job anyway. You are already gong to be doing 3/4 of the job, so may as well do the rest and have that peace of mind.

FYI I had a friend that overhauled his Robin using aftermarket parts and it smoked terrible. He wound up buying OEM rings and valves and was good after that. Just something to consider.
