Been cleaning parts up and putting it back together, as time allows

New fuel pump, fuel lines, spark plugs, and have the starter installed

Used a brass wire wheel and cleaned up the exhaust ports also

I assume the other end of the red heavy gauge starter wire goes to a starter relay? I will have to find one

What's the small fitting on the carb for?

How does everything else look, so far?

What's the P/N for the small round air filter?

I need to buy some SS metal mesh and make my own cover for the flywheel fan cover

Would the starter solenoid have been mounted on the engine or why is the starter wire so short?

Yes most of the original solenoids were mounted on the engine. Some models are different though depending on what that engine came out of, like tractors, generators, mowers, equipment.

I kinda like the solenoid mounted on the starter

Looks like they use a metal band clamp?
