Default What do I torque the 4 bolts in rear diff to?

I have my spare rear TXT diff torn apart. I replaced the axle seals, bearings, and snap rings. I removed the differential gear/bearing assembly for inspection and cleaning. The bearings are surprisingly fine. I'm reinstalling the main differential assembly and it stays captured in place by the 2 bearing retainers. What do I torque those bolts to? I can post a pic once I'm back near it.

Also, is there a manual with specs for the Dana rear diff? I have the exploded parts diagram but I'm looking for a rebuild manual.

Thanks. So the gears were definitely dinged up. The pumpkin spun fine but the axles were locked. I removed axles and pumpkin spun fine. It turns out, something metal was loose in there at one point and when I removed the pumpkin the dings and Nick's in the gears didn't realign and thus it spun with occasional resistance. Once I found, 1 tooth at a time, the right sync for the gears it spins with ease. I'm going to replace the whole rear end with a new one but I just wanted to see if I could handle the replacement of bearings and what not. Thanks for the help.

You can see the chips in the gear. Oh well, it was good practice. I'll see if it runs at least. But I'll try and source a new axle.

I've never actually torqued them, because "squish the silicone" isnt too picky. I think its 25. The factory didnt use a gasket, just silicone sealant, so I dont believe they were too picky either. I'll probably get barked at for this post, but i just "tighten them down". I can also clearly see that the factory didnt wait for the silicone to set as long as people suggest, or wait "x-amount of hours" before adding oil, like the "barkers" would want, either.

What I can say is this, if you snap one off in the housing, it's a pain to remove. And, I've never, ever seen one "back out" because it was too loose. And I dont see leaks on any that were clean when the silicone & cover was installed. I believe some were done in a way that the bolts made the threads in the holes (worm screws, cant explain it better, bolts with threads that are slightly wider on 3 sides of the threads).

16 to 24 ft. lb. Criss cross pattern. These LS installation instructions were finally a place I found Textron to actually give cover bolt specs.

I changed my diff oil today and am using Mobil 1 104361-UNIT 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube. For that I am using Permatex 81182 Gear Oil RTV Gasket Maker for differentials (special resistance for gear oil additives). Instructions say snug up until gasket begins to squeeze out, wait an hour, then torque to specs.

You wouldn't happen to have the axle bearing and seal portion of this manual? I ordered mine 4 weeks ago and still don't have it yet.
