The shocks won't really improve your ride, it's the spring that is responsible for soft suspension. Suspension travel is what you need to have a better ride. Softer springs with stiff shocks provide the best ride, think Cadillac, that was their formula for years.

Unfortunately the stock suspensions on golf carts are lacking in the travel department. A long travel front suspension kit is the best thing you can install for a better ride.
