Default Re: Using reverse for downhill brake assist

In my hunting cart, here in Southwestern Pennsylvania....the only place that has steeper hills is West Virginia....and they have massive steep hills!!

When I first got my cart, I discovered going down a dir\mud hill proved to be way more exciting than any rollercoaster out there. The rear wheels would lock up...the semi-mud tires would fill with dirt.....and I was skating my way down the hill on a 1,000-lb cart!!!

I went with Jake's front brakes as back then, the original Jake's location was in Pa. and about 1.5hr from where I live.

Best stopping option I ever did. No more exciting down hill stops.

Get some disc brakes on your machine. ScottyB sells 'em for the rear.....I don't know about the front.....but if you put 'em on the rear, you may not need front ones.
