It's a voltage issue. Batteries are the usual culprit, also battery wires could be near breaking. A control wire could be near breaking, the forward reverse switch could be wearing causing a short. Your motor brushes could be worn.
Jack the rear of your car up, and test the batteries while someone is making the wheels move at top speed, or drive it up to a concrete wall, or large tree, and put it under a high load.
