Please excuse my ignorance. I am no mechanic
I have a '97 Gas Club Car. Due to basic maintenance we have been "under hood" many times. Just yesterday we noticed a tube hanging loose off of the engine. Like a vacuum tube or a fuel line, Never noticed it before.
The tube is connected to the engine just after where the air intake meets the engine (near the carburator?).
Just things to note:
- The cart runs fine
- All 3 lines (tubes) coming from the fuel pump are connected.
- There is a small x shaped plastic piece in the end of the tube that is not connected to the engine.
I'm thinking this is just some sort of breather tube that was clipped somewhere and fell out of the clip and is not supposed to be connected at the other end. But I cannot identify it in any of the exploded views on parts pages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
