Update #2

Worked on the battery enclosure and tore the old batteries out of the cart. I intend to get it up and running with a temporary/safe/functional setup, try it out for a bit, then tear it down fully and finalize everything.

*Question* - I was thinking about using RTV/silicone to seal all of the seams on the battery box to keep moisture/water out. Is this a bad idea? Should I allow for some venting? Maybe even a small PC type fan? I know it won't off-gas when charging and shouldn't get hot at all when charging, but I figured some experts on here may know better. I don't know how warm they will get on discharge. I will have a 1/2" plywood base on top of the carts existing battery tray that the new battery/electronics will be on, so it will be protected from regular splashing
