Ive done the convert from 48 to 64, plus higher.

Its a straight forward upgrade. I agree with just using 72 volt parts, easy to find. I had a 72 volt charger converted to charge a 64 volt pack.

Stock motor will be ok to 168 volts, at which point it blows itself apart. 96 and 120 volt carts are very very fun.
