no, a gallon and a half of distilled water and 60 tablespoons of epsom salt will do 6 batteries, 1 quart of solution per battery. Like Roady said, warm the distilled water to just before boiling and then add the epsom salt to dissolve. I did the entire 6 quarts of solution in a big pot all at one time. Like Roady also said, it desulfates the plates (removes built up scale on the plates themselves) so that it can take a charge more effectively. It has worked for me. Like I said before, it's been less than a week but I can already tell a difference in the amount of run time.
