It's the newer 50-state engine. The 50 state FE350 uses solid lifters with valve adjustments instead of the older hydraulic lifter design. It also does not use an external RPM limiter. Hi David,
Do you happen to know what the correct valve last should be set to? I used .005 since that was what was listed for all the other motors (.0047 actually, but rounded up). I couldn't find a valve lash spec anywhere for the FE350
