Default Re: 98 DS Replacing batteries and Charger 48V

I just converted my 94 DS 36V controller cart to 48V with a 500A controller with all the accompanying goodies. I chose the Yewy 1200z with float for the same reasons you listed. I don’t use my cart all the time and the float mode keeps the batteries fresh.

I have several classic cars that mostly sit all winter and I keep float chargers on all of them. One of the batteries is 10 years old and is still going strong. Before I started using float chargers, I used to use timers and every other gimmic you can think of and I was replacing batteries every 3 years or so. Just my humble opinion.
