i do not have 72 volts. i have 36. two banks of 3-12 volt batteries in series, giving me 36 volts, then those banks are in parallel, giving me twice the amperage. i have a resistor cart anyway so there is no controller blowing.

yes, it is a standard 36 volt timer GC charger.

i have 12v gel cell batteries by datasafe. they are now golf cart batteries but they work. my only problem is charging them.
