Remove (desolder) the logic board from the side of the heat sink. Look for a small cylindrical 10 uf capacitor near the end of the logic board where the thermistor (temperature sensor) attaches to the logic board. These capacitors have a tendency to leak electrolyte and fail. Remove the capacitor and inspect the bottom for leakage. Clean the logic board area under the capacitor and replace it with a new one.
