I think you will like the Hydraulic brake system once you have had a chance to drive your Caroche.
Now that I have completely restored my brake system, if stops better than my 2006 Club Car DS, and better than my 2013 Club Car Precedent. And requires far less Pedal effort.
I chose to put in a new master cylinder and bought new wheel cylinders also. My main brake lines were Stainless steel and in fine shape, but I had to make new ones for each side that actually go to the wheel cylinders.
The parking brake is actually cable driven, thus the third pedal in the car.
