Great news! Got it all hooked up last night and works fine. I mounted the HEI module to the left of the VR where there was enough room to bolt on. Coil mounted on the side panel close to the air cleaner. Like you, I think switching red and blue wires from pulsar to the HEI made it run better. I bought an external resistor, but haven't put it in line. Is there any reason to if it's working O.K. without it? Not sure what its purpose is really. I think it would be good to get your info stickied to the HEI module wiring diagram so idiots like me know they have to change out the coil when installing the HEI. Thanks again!
